The sound of someone slapping the outside of Fissure's new bedroom door echoed through the flimsy door (Gush put it up) and a new residue of sticy glue from tape smeared onto the door, holding a paper there signed from DD - Dark Des.
[glow=black,5,600]-I talked to her... She wants to see you, Fissure. From your room, facing the hall, turn to your right and walk down the hall and walk to the abandoned side of the house. It isn't that far, really. Her room is the 14th on your left. Right next to the third floor of the eastern tower, ok? You know who I'm talkin about, new boy and I hope to meet you soon on different circumstances. ~.^
Sombre (Dark) Desdemona-[/glow]
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In her room everything was her favorite color, dark red. A figure standing in the wall window that slid open at the push of the button so she could take off if she needed. Her window did not portray the actual outside woods and forests and sunshine. Instead it showed a vast nowhere in which her castle existed in Egypt. The stars speckled the night sky of her portal through the window. Ok, it wasn't exactly a portal.. it was a kind of magic that Despereaux had to far been able to obtain. It was like having a large TV screen connected to a camera miles away, viewing your pleasures. The window portrayed anything that Desper wanted to see.
Her bed was tall, elevated and covered with large pillows and fluffy comforters. All deep reds himmed with white or black. Her cutrains were like theatre curtains, red, thick so that they could hold out the cold air, and soft. Her floor was a dark shade of red while her walls were a tye-dye effect of different lighter shades of reds. Her ceiling was white with a mohogany fan gently spinning just to circulate air.
Despereaux's wings were like a bride's gown, floating along the floor behind her as she took the few steps foreward to put a hand against the glass. It was cold though the outside hinted promises of warmth. The glass fogged around her hand as she planned what she was going to say to him. She was sorry that she was such a bitch at times... but she couldn't really help it now could she?

It had taken a few minutes of examining the note before Fissure had done anything. Actually, it had been a few good minutes before he'd even poked his head out the room. He was, afterall, hiding from Kale's children. They had earlier on kidnapped him and "re-styled" him so as he had a more...Amos-like air (Accoring to what they had said, of course).
Fissure turned to look down the hall in the direction he had to go in, and took a deep breath. Who knew how well this would turn out? As he began to walk along, he played with his long braided hair - narrowing his eyes at the coloration. Before his hair had been a burberry color, and was now dappled with a color that Kane had called 'Deadly Nightshade', which was some dark purpley red. And they hadn't actually DYED his hair, no - they'd simply covered their little fingers in dye and flicked it into his hair in large and small dots.
They'd also chopped his hair shorter than before, leaving a large amount to flip out around the braid. If he were to let his hair down, infact, the braid would be been made by a thick line of hair that went straight down to his mid-back. (The rest only came to his shoulder at their very longest tips)
His clothing was...nice. A high collared jacket of dark purple-grey that was covered in a mesh of black swirls - and along the sleeves it puffed out with sheer black fabric. The jacket cut off at the bottom of his rib cage to reveal a thickly striped purple and grey shirt from beneath. Fissure sighed, shaking his head. He hadn't a problem with the color of his clothing - no, it was perfectly fine - but rather the fit of it. It was all tight... alot tighter than he was used to.
Pausing before Desper's door, Fissure inhaled deeply before knocking softly.

Desper didn't move, like a chess game, she waited for the opposer to make the first move, like she would in a fight, always cautious. Desper always stood there, perfectly still and watched her opponent's exact movement, his approach. She knew how to defend herself that way. Also the reason why she hadn't prepared herself for Amos. He'd surprised her and she'd fallen like a newborn learning to fly. She knew Des just wanted the best for her so... why not try this guy? Get to know him and let him in...
"Come in!" She called and her door unlocked itself. Standing still, she watched and waited for the reflecting light from the hallway to appear against the glass and disappear with the closing of the door.

Humming under his breath, Fissure opened the door and side-stepped in. Closing the door behind him, he gulped slightly. "Uh...hi." Brushing a lock of hair from his face, he bit on his lip slightly. "I...got a note saying that you wanted to...see me?"

"Hmph," Despereaux snorted, then was mentally shocked by her subconcious who had asked for him to come. She sighed, taking on a more gentle approach, "No need for you to be nervous, tiny wings," She said, taking her hand away from the glass, leaving a foggy outline of her hand which quickly faded. Desper turned her head, looking at him over her shoulder.
In all seriousness, it hadn't surprised her that the kids had done this to him, but it did make her smirk, hiding laughter. "I..." she began, becomming serious again. "I just thought we got off to a rough start... I've been through a lot and I'm a little scared...."

"I can...understand that. " Fissure turned to her an offered a small smile, an attempt at breaking the tension he felt. It was clear that he was a bit nervous to be here, after Desper had treated him so roughly earlier on. "We did get off to a bad start. And...I'm sorry for being nervous. Bad habit I suppose."

Despereaux shook her head. "Nah, you deserve to. I bet all the little kids told you I kill rabbits for a hobby, right? Or something ugly like that?" She smirked, rolling her eyes. "No one really likes me around here because I hide from fact." Despereaux turned to him fully, pulling her wings behind her - such a bother. "Except the really kind ones like Jamie and Des... and Amos," Despereaux looked down at the name, closing her eyes.

"Oh no no, they never said anything like that. Just that if I were to impress you, I'd have to dress more...stylish, I think they said?" Fissure looked at his jacket in a curious manner, extending one arm to allow the excess sleeve fabric hang loose. "I dunno. What do you think? Fashionable or no? I think it ain't that workable...but it's rather nice I guess."

Despereaux shrugged. "I don't like people trying to impress me just by physical looks, personally. As long as you act true to yourself and accept me to being me, I say have fun," Despereaux took a moment, staring at him, trying to do something with her face. Ever so slowly, she smiled, but felt odd. Did she have anything to smile about?

"Mmm, well..." Fissure glanced at his arm, then downt he rest of his body. "I don't mind the clothes so much. What worries me is how I'm going to get them off." At that point, if he had been a cartoon character, his eyes would have turned to little 'x's to mimick and expression such as the follow "x-x". Unfortunatley for Fissure, he was not of such cartoony nature (unlike people such as Nwil, Owx or Turpentine), and henceforth could not carry out this action.

Despereaux paused a moment, seeming to be deep in thought, fighting with herself for a moment. "I know a way..." She muttered, walking towards him, a blank look in her eyes which were staring at his chest.

Fissure blinked a few times, feeling a bit uncomfoted by her stare. "Really now? And, how is that?"

Despereaux stopped right in front of him, seeming to take deep breaths and extended a claw. Taking the neckline of the shirt he wore and cut right through it about an inch. She glanced up at him, cautiously and waiting for him to scream or show igns of discomfort. Desper hated being so forward like this, like Des was and actually half thought Fissure'd just run off yeling in fear.

Fissure was watching her in a curious manner, and actually paused upon seeing her begin to tear the clothes. He seemed...as if he were trying to skirt around or block out a thought. "I..uhm...I had meant without...ruining the clothes. Afterall, they were hand taylored by the wolf-girl's grandson."
(( I love how he still doesn't know Kale's name x.x))

Despereaux raised her eyebrow in a curious manner. "You mean Kale's grandson Kane? He won't care that much. It's unnatural, really..." She muttered that last sentence but then just shrugged and turned away, her wings trailing behind her. Again she took a few steps away towards the window and crossed her arms, thinking.

"Right...him." Fissure replied, biting the left side of his lower lip unsurely. "Well...I know it's unnatural...but...they just...oh, nevermind." Fissure sighed, rubbing the back of his head. He went silent for a momment, seeming to toss and turn his thoughts - fishing for the right words to say. "Look...I...understand that the reason they brought me here...well, obviously you're feeling just as uncomfortable about the situation as I am," he let out with a small, rather nervous chuckle. His wings, obviously much smaller than Desper's but not exactly tiny persay, fluttered gently before folding firmly against his back. Casting his gaze to the floor, Fissure fell into silence once more.

"Oh, that's not the problem at all," Despereaux shook her head. "I'm actually ver comfortable with this little... thing they planned. I just don't want you to be," Desper looked back at him, smiling for real now. "See, being a princess, I had a ton of suitors, but they were all under the influence of my parents." She told him, shrugging. "So when my parents died I vowed to find someone who I thought would be right for me and my kingdom..." She tilted her head. "See, if you're feeling uncomfortable with this whole 'holy shit she's a queen' thing then I wouldn't even bother."

"Oh no no no," Fissure replied, holding up his hands - for if the theory had been a living thing he very well might have shoved it roughly away. "I...could really care less that you're a princess....Queen, I mean! Well, not to say it's not important but-" Taking a deep breath, Fissure decided it best to cut off his babbling and reorder his thoughts. "See, I wasn't sure as you how you felt and...I didn't want to come off as being too...I dunno. Too foreward with any forms of courtship."

Despereaux raised an eyebrow, a thought running through her head. 'He cares...' was that thought, and she seemed a bit intriuged. This is what she liked, people just saying what was on their mind and she smiled and nodded approvingly. "I see what you mean now, and I love the fact you just spoke your mind like that. You sure Des didn't put you though any training?" Despereaux asked, laughing. Laughing. Despereaux? o.O
((He's REALLY caught her eye... o.O))

(( That was the point ^-^ See, not all of my male characters are self-centered grumps xDDD ))
"No...though those kids did put me through fashion boot camp," Fissure commented with a laugh, pulling up his sleeve slightly to show a bunch of red marks. "I didn't know copper wires and band-aids could hurt so bad!" He grinned at Desper, continuing to laugh. "Those kids are devils."
