"No no, I've got their house," She stated, pointing towards Vinny. "I don't do good hanging with girls." Dakota replied, shrugging gently.
"Suuurrre." Kale replied, rolling her eyes and grinning. She chuckled, holding a small plastic bag on her arm. "So, what's up? You're not getting anything for anyone?"

"Well, then.. Can I come?" Harle asked, smiling. "I want to be your friend, Dakota."
Des shrugged. "Didn't think it'd be appropriate for me to send anyone anything." She said casually. "It'd be weird, y'know?"

"True," Kale replied, whistling suddenly. As if by natural reaction her kids all skittered over to her suddenly, staring up at her and chattering loudly in attempt to show off what they had gotten. "Okay, okay, shut up!" Kale stated, rubbing at one of her ears. "I don't care what you bought, let's just go now, okay?"
Dakota bit at her lip, thinking a moment. "Well... I don't know. It's not that I don't want you to come, it's just that it'd probably be pretty awkward for you...Like I said... my friends are pretty weird..."

Des chuckled, and made her way through the crowd of children, towards Kale. "Where to next?"
Harle thougth about this. "Mom always said to get used to the world around you... so I can handle it. It'd be a learning experience." She said cheerfully.

"Oh.. not the kind I think your mother wants you to learn," Dakota mumbled, shaking her head and sighing. "Fine, you can come. But you've got to promise not to tell you mom anything. I'd rather her not know what goes on in my personal life."
"Home. Please." She muttered as the kids ran off again - most of them destined for home but half going to do...well, whatever, really. "Most of them grabbed something for Nikx earlier, same with Amos. I'm the only one without anything much in relation to gifts."

Harle nodded. "Yeah, sure. I can keep a secret." She smiled.
Des looked at the kids and hummed in thought. "Alright! Kids get back here NOW or meet your maker named Gush!!"

Kale rolled her eyes, slapping Des on the hand playfully. "Leave them alone. They're fine. And stop using your son to threaten my kids. Only I'm allowed to threaten them."
Dakota gave a small smile, nodding her head as she turned down a side alley suddenly. "Alrighty then, come on. We best get over there and tell South we're spending the night. He likes a little bit of warning in advance before people come barging into his house."

Des laughed. "Well, feel free to use my son then." She said, smiling.
"Understandable." Harle said, giggling.

Dakota walked through the dark side alleys, easily stepping over trash strewn about the concrete, and apparently paying no heed to the graffiti on the walls. "South's house isn't trash, don't worry about that, despite how gross this area looks. It's just the fastest way to his house."
"Ew. Why would I want to use that thing? No way in hell you could pay me to even get near it." Kale replied, laughing heartily. "So, what do you want to do now, besides go home?"

Harle was stumbling over everything, looking at the art on the walls in wonder. "Sorry I'm so slow.. I've never been here." she said, embararssed over the fact that she was stumbling over everything.
"... Actually, can I have the rest of the day off?" Des asked, smiling. "I just want to go home and stay away from any males, y'know?"

"Go right ahead," Kale stated with a shrug, smiling at Des. "You didn't need to come in the first place, I told you this morning you could have stayed home," she stated with a giggle, before looking down at her watch. "I have to go to work soon. Could do me one favor and just do a head check at nine o'clock? That's when the kids are supposed to be in the house and off the first floor. If you could, it'd be a big help. I'm not getting home 'till around ten tonight."
"It's okay," Dakota replied, smiling at her cousin. "You're just not as nimble as me. It takes some getting used to. If you hang with us long enough you'll get the hang of pulling yourself out of sticky situations." She laughed gently, turning her attention then to the end of the alley. "By the way... how fast are you, and how good are you at dodging large, fast moving objects?"

"Yeah, sure thing Kale." Des said, smiling. "I'll probably be there when you get home.. I've got nothing to do." Des said, and paused. "Oh... I just realized... Does Branch know where I live?" She asked, flinching. "Cause he's technically part of the family now too... Thanks to DD."
"Dodging's alright. What, are we crossing a highway?" Harle asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yep. Seven whole lanes of interstate," Dakota replied, nodding towards the speeding blurs of color that shot along the black roads. On the far side there was a chainlink fence and barley feilds that stretched on for quite a bit - and in the far background there could be seen what appeared to be a small section of houses. "South lives over there."
"Oh.. I think so," Kale replied, rubbing her chin. "I'm pretty sure he knows. I can ask him later and send him over to your house, or have one of the kids do it for you."

Des thought for a long time. "Man... Have I been treating him like shit?" She asked, ears back, loking guilty. "I feel like I have... even if the love he has for me is sort of... Well, forced and artificial..."
"Well... I think I can do this." Harle smiled, and clicked her heals together. Instantly she began to float by jet-boot.

"Yeah, good luck with that." Dakota replied, rolling her eyes in apparent annoyance. "Go ahead and cheat to get across. I doubt that will work."
"Meh. He's fine." Kale replied, waving a hand dissmissivley.

Harle giggled. "What could happen?" She asked curiously. "I can fly over the cars and trucks." She said, looking out there.
Des sighed. "Oh, Kale... You especially can't tell when someone's sad unless it's you and if you do, you ignore it." She smirked, nudging Kale.

"He's fine, Des. He's been bouncing around my house and catching mice in the field all week," Kale replied, rolling her eyes and pressing a hand to her hip. "Don't worry about him. He's content."
"Sure. That's what you say. Becareful is all I have to say," That was the last thing Dakota had to say before she was just plain gone, stepping into the street and dissapearing behind a large semi-trailer. "Toodles," Vinny stated, wiggling his fingers at Harle before dissapearing as well.

"Well, good... Then I guess you can send him over to my place then.. I got a few rodents for him to chase around." Des said, satisfactorily, smiling a little nervously.
Harle blinked and landed on the ground, and stepped in the same direction as they did, wondering if there was some kind of door. She dodged the first lane and looked hesitently. Then she just bolted, short stopping every other lane.

Vinny and Dakota were on the other side, leaning against the fence and laughing. "Stop traffic, did ya?" Dakota questioned with a smirk, grinning at Harle but at the same time rubbing at her own leg.
"....rodents?" Kale questioned, raising an eyebrow at Des and smirking. "Really now? Are you so sure they're 'rodents'?"

Des smiled, and sighed. "Literally and figuratively..." She said. "He's a father and I just want to treat him like one... except the whole 'creepy feeling' she got around the other three."
"Well, it was easier than I thought it was going to be." Harle smiled. "T'was fun, too!"
