Des came up the spiral staircase, humming a little tune called the Moonlight Sonata. She had books in her arms, carrying them and planning on putting them away in the History section. Kiki loved History, and was following her mother into the library, also smiling. Kiki skipped into the History section and ran along the aisles, looking for Great Britain.
Kiki finally grabbed a large book of Olde England, and sat in a big lazyboy reclining chair with a lamp next to it. She smiled and cozily snuggled into the fods of the recliner before opening the book. The large book was wooshed out of her hands by a gust of wind that had occured right after a scream.
Books were everywhere in the southern history section of the library. Pages were also loose, flying in every direction. Someone screamed, then a male voice yelled as a child yelped in pain. Somewhere in the middle, there was a whir-wind of papers, bookends, and other library appliances just in a mass of swiftly moving air!
A high pitched sort of whistling came form the whirlwind... or was it very light, distant sounding screaming?

From not far off came a loud thud, that was followed by a groan, and then a yelp and more thuds. Obviously the rucus had frightened someone. And who ever it was, by the sound, they had fallen. And most likely a few books had fallen on them. "Ow ow ow ow ow ow...ow..." Nora glanced upwards at the shelf the books had fallen from, narrowing her eyes at Willow who was now perched in their place, making a face as if having a sour stomach. "Willow! You dropped a book on me!" "Actually....it was five books but-" "You still dropped them on me! That hurt!" Nora whined, rubbing her hands against her head. "What was all the noise, anyways?" Willow glanced upwards, obviously thinking as he tilted his head. "Haven't the slightest, deary." He replied simply, his large ears twitching. The ghostly aura around him wavered and shifted like fog, seeming to radiate off his body instead of simply remaining in an orb around him. "And frankly, I don't really want to-" "Let's go see!" Nora cut him off, hopping up and kicking away a book that had fallen on her, glaring at it as it skittered across the floor. Willow gave a low groan, as if regretting his promise to watch her for today. "This is going to cause trouble," He said with a roll of his eyes as he hopped down from the shelf and scurried after Nora. "There's always trouble when people meddle." "We aren't meddling, Willow," Nora replied, headed towards the source of the sound. "We're making sure everything's okay. Helping. Helping is not Meddling." "When you're involved it is...."

The whirlwind began to glow, and the screaming increased in volume. Someone was in the middle of the whirlwind, in the air, arched back, in deep pain. Their hair was all around them like doves flying through Itally!
They had no shirt on, it was a boy. He had silvery-gray hair and yellow eyes. He was small, but did have a bit of muscle on him. His body was covered in cuts that appeared from no where, and he continued screaming in the middle of that whirlwind! Such a noise should not come from a boy! He sounded as if he were to die right there!

As Nora and Willow stumbled across the whirlwind, both froze with eyes wide and terrified. Nora shrieked, hiding behind Willow. Willow simply stood there, returning to a more human, ghostly form. "Willow! What're we going to do?!" "You're asking me?" Willow glanced at Nora as her form changed as well, to that of her older self. Nora moved away from Willow, taking a cautious step towards the whirlwind and the boy, reaching out as hand as if to touch it.

The boy's figure was merely a shadow as the light was projected in such away from inside him that his shadow was cast on the whirlwind of paper. The pain was form inside, and new cuts were appearing on hispants, legs, arms, face, and back. But not on his chest or stomach. He kept screaming for a good long 2 minutes before his body finally fell limp to the floor. Sadly, as his back had arched father and farther... it had produced a sickening CRACK! The books, paper, pencils and pens, and everything froze, before falling like lead. Even the paper acted like rock and fell with a thud for they were heavy with magic. The boy's hair covered his face, his identity.

Nora bit her lip, stepping back and cringing as she heard the crack. "Nora...' Willow said in an almost warning tone as she commenced to move closer to the boy, now on her knees as she knelt down to get a better look at him. "I think we better go now..." "Hush up, Willow," She replied stiffly, reaching out a hand to brush away the boy's hair. "I wanna see what he looks like..."

The boy's eyes were wide open, they were yellow. His face was young, only about 15-17 years old. Rylie.. IT was Rylie! Home! But... this.. this was not the way he had been hoping he'd die. No. Not by a freak accident, or that is what it had seemed like. A freak accident.. But there were also signs of suicide all around. The fact that the whirlwind had blocked him from sight, the fact that no one was there and the fact that he had been hidden among books, where no one ever really went.

Nora leaned back, a hand pressed to her lips. "My god..." She muttered, looking down at him with her head tilted slightly. Willow hopped up onto her shoulder, now once again in his strange bat-like form. Willow made a face, a shudder running up his spine. "Gee....what an awful way to die..." "We probably could have...done something....if you hadn't been so insistant on not coming to check it out." Willow glanced at Nora, almost shocked. "Oh, so now it's MY fault he's dead?" "Might as well be," She stated simply, leaning over Rylie and peering down at him. " I just...wish there was something I could do..."

A cough emerged form the shadows. "There is something... Go tell Ollie somehow what has happened. I'll take him down to the infrmary, as any normal person would," Josie said, looking near tears as she looked over Rylie's body. "I heard the whole thing.." She muttered, and bent down to pick up Rylie's body.

Nora leaned back, biting at her lip and nodding her head. "Okay. I'll...try to find her. I...don't think she'll be too happy though..."

Josie shook her head, groaning as she picked up Rylie's body. "That's perfectly normal.. just don't hurt yourself." She said, looking at Rylie.. "Stiff.. Like he's stuck in time...." She muttered, staring to carry him out of the library.

Nora looked to Willow, almost pleadingly. "Oh no," He replied, shaking his head. "I'm not telling her. You agreed to it. I'm not telling." "But Willow..." She whined. "No, go. Go go, now." He waved his paw at her, and Nora groaned, scurrying off. Willow, mean while, spun around to follow Josie.

Josie walked, head hanging low and bangs covering her eyes as she carefully carried Rylie out of the library, past her mother who gasped, and disappeared, and down the spiral staircase. Josie was breathing deeply, thanking the gods that there was not much blood.

Willow followed along by her side, and the way he walked resembled that of a cat, though he still remained looking like a cross between a mouse-bat-rabbit and fox-like creature. "Josie...are you going to be alright?"

Josie shook her head. "No.. I'm never alright..." She muttered, shifting her brother's weight, now carrying him on her back, then on her shoulder. Frustrated, she cursed and levetated him down the hall.

Willow blinked a few times, ears back as he followed her. "Anything I can help with?"

"No... I'm good..." She muttered, head down. Josie had her eyes closed, and she reached out for Willow's hand, almost as if saying she needed a friend now more than ever.
