Des came up onto the roof, immediately annoyed with herself now that she hadn't grabbed a sweatshirt, and hugged herself now realising how light her shirt had been. Des was now in a bad mood.. it was a mixture of depression and anger, which was usually hard for her to get into, and was usually caused by the same thing everytime. Kale.
Des wiped at her eyes, though they weren't even wet. Infact, they were actually too dry for her liking. Des sighed, and kicked a snow bank, remembering how things were before boys had entered the picture. Before they started having alone times... when Des was dead.
"Is that how you like it you little whore?" Des asked an immaginary Kale. "Me dead? That's how you want it, I know it." Des kicked the snow bank again.
"Or do you just want me to just disappear? I tried, and you always try and get me back! WHY?! Why the hell won't you just leave me ALONE?!" Des sat down in the snow, and quietly formed a snowball in her hands.

After a few momments of silence there came the sound of crunching boots against snow. At first, it seemed as if no one was there, until Talum wandered up from the dark. Her head was down, and at the time she didn't seem to realize Des was even up there, until she looked up suddenly. Seeing her Aunt has made her jump slightly, and when she tried to speak she stuttered lightly. "O-oh Aunt D-des," She said, trying to clam her stuttering. "I...I didn't know you were up here."

Des threw the snowball, hitting a far off tree. "Not a lot of people notice me, it's perfectly natural," She said, throwing another snowball at a nearer tree. Her eyes were red.. but something in them made them look almost purple.

Talum's ears pressed back. "I...just wasn't paying any attention I guess..." She muttered softly. "What are you doing up here?"

"Taking it into consideration on what I should do. Should I die, become a ghost again? Should I just disappear? Should I just move away with Gary?" Des was asking more herself than Talum, then chucked a snowball so fast that it knocked a branch off a tree, and that's when she knew that she had to stop before she hurt someone.

Talum watched the last snowball fly, wincing slightly as it knocked away the branch. "Why would you do any of those things?"

"I'm tired of Kale acting so high and mighty," Des said, sitting down in the snowbank and instantly regretting it... but she stubbornly stayed still. "All I wanted to know is how Nikx was doing, and they both give me this fuckin attitude! It happens everytime! Can't I at least know how my own technical brother in law is doing?" Des said, tears welling up in her eyes.

Talum knelt down beside her aunt, her ears still back. "Well, maybe it was something you said that made them mad. They're really easy to set off alot of the time. Trust me, I'm one of their kids. I'm always on the recieving end of their stupidity."

Des shook her head. "Kale's not that easy to tick off as she is when Nikx is around... and to think I comforted her only about an hour ago..." Des said wiping at her eyes for the opposite reason as she had before.

Talum sighed, staring at down at the roof beneath her feet. "Well....I...I can only guess that's because she feels like...well...." Talum's voice faded out, and she sighed again. "You know, I really don't know..."

"Niether do I... but... I really do think she liked it better when I was a ghost..." Des said, sighing.

Ryu peeked up from under a large amount of snow that had collected around him while he was napping. His usualy black winter clothes were white today, blending in with the snow. He had only heard Des' last comment. "Who?" He asked. He had recently been attempting to get used to the cold, and more resistant.

"I doubt that," Talum said, tipping her head to one side. "But you have to remember, she's not little anymore. She grew up, and by what I can see, your still trying to dwell on the past. Things aren't going to change back to the way they were before, Aunt Des. Even if you became a ghost again, the most that would happen is mom would ignore you even more. Though she might not mean it, without you being in the flesh time would slowly make you fade from memory."

"It's still better than watching her morph into something she isn't," Des sighed, then looked to Ryu. "Kale, Ryu. That's who we're talkinga bout. I may be dwelling on the past... but I was happy then. I am now but.. in different ways. If she wants to be a bitch," Des stood up, letting tears roll down her face. "And wants to tell me off, let her find me! I will not stand around and baby sit her! IT! It wants me to stop, here's it's chance! Do NOT tell her we had this conversation or so help me I will hunt the both of you down!" Des exclaimed, and turned to walk off.

Talum glared at Des, her ears pressing back. "Ya know what, maybe she's not hte one being a bitch." Talum stood up, placing her hands on her hips. "You have no right to threaten me! I came up here, and I was nice enough to try and help you with your problems, which is something I don't do often. You should be thanking me, no threatening to hunt me down if I tell anyone I spoke to you. Frankly, the only one being a bitch is YOU!"

Des sighed, rolling her eyes, and turned back, her eyes glowing red, a puple ring in the middle. "Talum, there is a REASON why I have asked you not to tell anyone you saw me or even spoke to me. That is because my children will use you. Will try and kill you to find me. If you tell anyone, they'll find out and then I'll have to hunt you down, and take you somewhere safe so that no one will hurt you," Des explained, and had been advancing to Talum, now towering over her. "There is a reason to every action. You, little one, must learn when it is time for you to talk and when to shut the hell up."

Talum glared up at her, suprisingly enough not seeming the tiniest amount afraid. It was clear Talum defianatley had the most gaul of all her siblings. "And you should know that you aren't my mother, and you can't tell me what to do."

"Fine then. Go on and tell everyone," Des shrugged walking away. "Just know that I am not going to save you, or anyone, again," Des continued, stripes appearing on her body. Her skin became almost white, and furry. This was... different. As she left, her tail became gray with a white underside.

Talum crossed her arms over her chest. "I don't need to be saved, anways," She muttered, watching Des change with slight interest.

Des' ears became a more gray, and the insides more pinkish. Her fangs became longer but only by so much that they now showed on the corners of her mouth with the lips closed. Her hair changed as well, becomming more black than brown. But before any more changed could occur, she'd jumped off the roof.
