Des suddenly awoke in a cold sweat, having another dream. In this dream, she was walking downstairs from her room, into the basment and... the rest was a blank. She never really could remember dreams well, but this one seemed to short for comfort. Was someone else having the dream and she was just picking up on it? Des thought about this possibility and quickly scanned her sleeping children's minds. Odd. Everyone else seemed to be having the same dream of tearing down Disney World and re-building it.
Des shook her head, shaking away thoughts. Slowly she got up, put on a robe over her bare skin, and walked down the stairs. It felt chilly. Even for winter. Her footsteps echoed in the vastness of her house, and she smiled, glad she built it.
On the second floor, she made herself some coffee, french vanilla ice coffee to be exact, and walked down to the first floor. There, she sat comortably in her large cushion chair, drinking her ice coffee, thinking. Why was it colder down here than up there? Wasn't it usually the other way around.
That's when she heard it. A baby crying. Des got up, and moved to the stairs quickly, about to go up, when she realized the sound was comming form the basement... which was locked. Placing down her coffee on the steps, she then unlocked the door and began descending down the steps. It got colder, and she could now see her breath. Turning on a light, she nearly screamed as this hooded figure stood infront of her.
a hand stopped her from screaming. The hooded figure had something under it's cloak, and Des became curious. The hooded figure, always silent, let Des reach in, and pull out a baby. A beautiful one at that. Black long hair, soft skin, and a good size. This child also had a white fluffy tail. Des looked up at the figure, confused. The figure held up a finger. "Don't tell Gary about her yet.... She's to be kept secret.." a voice whispered in Des' ear.
Suddenly everything moved at once, a strong wind sucking everything into oblivion, a book hitting Des' head, and knocking her unconcious.
She lay there, now the next day around noon, no one had seen her. But she lay there, sleeping... with a baby in her arms.
