"Iv been here for awhile now" Sion began "When i arrived i was dead to this world, my hand reaching for my own throat" He paused "But fox saved me, and for that, i thank her. I have finally come to terms with what happened to my parents, and im ready to tell you..."
Know, first, that my father is a great and mighty King of the elves ... Eragon. He did not come to Azard to wage war...but I did. Though he could ignore the challenge laid down by azard i could not, it was a sign of weakness i would rid my father of. No town in his country should be out of his control.
So there we were, two warriors, standing on the rooftops of the legendary Azard, home of treasures never seen by any man other than those who guarded, nor for the matter, any elf. I alone would cross the trapped chasisms, i alone would enter the treasury, i alone would earn my fathers praise by being the first to lay hands on the treasure behind those black gates.
The dagger was drawn in my hand, as i leapt from the rooftops and ended the life of a native. These people, who were strangely entangled in forces no mortal understood, yet they guarded the treasure unweildingly. The moment my dagger tasted blood, i knew it would not be my way, i would earn my fathers praise not by killing, but by being the first to overcome all odds, to enter the vault. My brother watched from above, nodding in approval of my first kill, a sign of bloodlust, a sign i should have noticed, but my eyes were blind to him, seeing only a hero. My first mistake, the first of many that would doom an entire civilization.
Do you think i felt guilt, as i fought my way through, do you think i felt sorrow for those whos lives i would end? Those who never stood a chance? If you think so, you are wrong. I thought only of the honour and glory.
It was a dream come true, myself and the brother i admired so, fighting as one for victory.
As we entered the center of the city we faced another group of defenders, My brother turned to deal with them, while i raced on ahead. The palace gates were my goal, and i would stop for none, even those who begged for their lives would not stay my dagger. I killed without second thought.
It didnt take long for the tables to turn, soon i was pressed against a wall despratly searching my mind for the few words in the ancient language i knew before i was killed by the soldiers that were all around me. No word came to mind. I ran up the wall and grabbed the ledge above me, swords clashed against the bricks were i had been, but with only one hand, i could not hang indefinnatly. In the corner of my eye i watched an archer prepare to shoot.
I was saved only by chance, the ledge breaking at the moment of fire. My body fell against the soldiers knocking them to the ground. Quickly i escaped the crowded streets back on to the rooftops, where i was predator, and they were prey.
Too soon i reached the dark gates of azard, yet i had no way of surpassing them. I counted the guards, 7, no 8 guards. All of them, staring at me. One guard called out to me, his voice barely audiable over the chaos i had brought upon this city.
"Are you alright!?" He yelled, I said nothing, too shocked to reply.
"Hello down there! Are you alright!?" The guard yelled again
"Why...Why do you ask?" I asked, the guard muttered something to another guard.
"You must have hit your head pretty hard! Were being attacked if you didnt notice!"
Then the truth became clear, he thought me on their side, he thought me an ally, a thought i soon took advantage of, I told him i had a message for their king, it turned out that they were lead by a priest instead, but still i got in. This excuse worked fine until i heard the blood curdling cry of the gate guards, my brother had arrived.

To be continued.
