Soft thuds. A slight wind. A flash of a cream colored coat...
THUD! The angelic looking canine jumped from the large rock she had recently jumped upon to get over it. Carissa, running to keep up with her best friend, was quickly running out of breath. With another surge of power the fox like anthro lept from the leaf covered ground onto the rock and quickly pushed off with her back paws, springing herself forward and ahead of Avalon, which was a rare gift for Carissa. A root was popping above ground and right in front of Carissa. Glancing back she didn't exactly remember to get a view of what was in front of her before doing so. Hitting the root dead on she yipped before crashing to the ground, half of her body in the small woods and half in the meadow. The almsot soundless thuds came up behind her before they were just the padding of paws close to her face. A soft tongue rubbed her face and pulled her from her momentary black-out. Groaning she lifted herself up and placed a hand on Avalon for slight support. Sitting up Carissa checked herself and found only a gash down her right arm that was blocked with dirt and a small scrap on her thigh. Surprisingly her knees and elbows were untouched.
The slight gurgle of water had caught Carissas attention and so she had sought out the stream coarsing through the thicket. Once her padded feet touched the cool liquid she soon found herself back in human form and cleaning the skin around the cut. It was pain enough just to touch it, it was hell to clean it. She found that it was deeper then usual and not made by one who had fallen. Glancing up she only saw Avalon resting beside her and she seemed calm enough. Shaking off her feeling of unease she continued to clean the dirt away from the cut and it finally started to bleed. The scratch wasn't as hard though still tender. Carissa didn't want to move any farther from the stream then a few inches so she simply walked along its flow until she found a tree not far from the banks where she could watch it. Leaning up against the tree she applied pressure to the still bleeding wound and closed her eyes, not really expecting anybody to find her though she knew it was a possibilty.
OOC//: I could have put a lot more but I kept it small.
