Rabbit giggled, pointing to the spot where Fathom had been before. "Already taken care of!" he said cheerfully, in his rather cute but girly voice. With that, another hole opened up, and he hopped in. "I'll just be leaving you two alone now." Rabbit poked his head out from the hole, waving at Atlas. "Bye bye big brother!" And, just like that, the hole was gone.

Aislin looked back to blue boy here and told him, "There's a world-wide danger that lurks around here sometimes. She's been watching you and the others here," Aislin nodded as she said this, then closed her eyes, sighing. "I don't understand why you like family heirs and stuff... but me and my friends are going to collect some of the precious toys and return them to the children in the West," Aislin said, as a statement. A sure statement. "We've already begun so... and I joined to warn you that if you stay here, you will not survive. Not MIGHT, will." Aislin sighed, opening her eyes again, looking at him. "You understand?"

Atlas began to laugh, a deep and hearty sound. "So says you, little girl. Me and my brother's can hold our own, thank you very much." With a hand that was pale as snow he brushed hair away from his face, only to have it fall into place once more. "Don't underestimate our power's, dearie. No beast that roams these parts we couldn't fend off if we wanted to."

Aislin raised an eyebrow. "How are you living here anyway?" She asked, standing straight and proper. Chest out, back curved, shoulders back and head straight. She was so well balanced that she could balance five books on her head with a tea cup full of hot coffee. It was no doubt, no matter how hard she tried, she was royalty. Royalty at this age never knew much about defending themselves, and they were always plain looking now a days. But this one.. Despereaux knew she was something special. This one was georgeous when she got older, even more beatiful than generations before her. So lovely that even her great grandmother had a sparkle in her eye and she was the most monotoned person in the whole family and the most wretched lady in the world, like Aunt Sophie. Delicate, frail, and beautiful. Yep, a defenceless royal princess of some sort.

"How? Why, by simpling living of course. It's not that hard to live in a place; you just stay alive. Plain and simple as that." Atlas replied, shoving his delicate hands in the pockets of his overly large pants. Pants that had more bits of metallic sticking out of them than one would think imaginable - and the fact they actually stayed on his body was a miracle. "If you mean in terms of food, that's simple enough. Rabbit gets all the food; he simply opens up one of his little wormholes and pop up somewhere. He brings us back all sorts of delicious foods; lobster, shrimp, polar bear, you name it." Atlas chuckled softly, his eyes still glued to the naked bulb hanging lazily from the ceiling. "We'd have invited the starving brats downstairs to dine with us, but they seemed discusted by our company." He turned his attention and gaze to Aislin now, white pupils showing from beneath his hair as he cocked his head to one side. "Now, why do you think that is?"

"Easy. That's a simple question. They're Kale's kids. They'd rather stick together and are afraid of new people besides mine and Des' families," Aislin said simply not effected by his eyes at all. She'd seen something like this before, and she'd seen JEssy's eyes before. Nothing phazed this kid.

Atlas chuckled, his shoulder's shifting up and down as he laughed. "Oh good. I thought it was because they thought us totally repulsive. I, frankly, think I'm rather good looking. What says you?" If he's been any other boy, one could have thought of this as a manner of flirting. But, this being Atlas...well....how did that saying go? Never assume because it makes an 'ass' out of 'u' and 'me'?

Aislin hesitated but still had no expression. His eyes did catch her interest and the fact that he was mainly all one color like she was had also caught her eye but his personality had her thinking. "Better than the other guys I've seen," Aislin shrugged, stating the truth.

"Hmm. Honest enough answer." Atlas turned his head away, seeming to stare off into oblivion. He seemed to do this often. "Now, continue. What else do you want to know?"

"Why do you like family so much? Even an esence. Wouldn't you rather live with a real family and see what it's really like?" Aislin asked, though, in her case, didn't want him to go through having to live with her family or Des' or Kale's for that matter.

"I know what it's really like, I do have a family," Atlas replied with a shrug and a smile. "My brother's are my family. And...Quiv..." he paused, again seeming lost in thought. "They're all the family I need. Look, I'd do anything for the sake of my family. One of those things is finding a comfortable place for them to live. When we came here, this house was abandoned. Everyone up and left, but it almost feels like they're all still here. Those kids didn't show up until recently...or most of them. Fathom's been around for a while. She was good company for a while...until she found out that we wanted to claim the house as our own." Atlas shrugged once more, seeming to think nothing of it. "She has quite the temper, you know."

Aislin nodded. "A lot of Kale's kids have short tempers, it came from their mother," Aislin muttered but audible enough to hear then raised her voice to normal level, "It...." She sighed, thinking of what to say. "I just don't get it, though... I don't get why this house is so important to everybody. I don't get half the things you say about family. First handedly I haven't experienced anything of the sort," Aislin said, then shook her head. "But that's not the reason why I'm here. I promised I'd cut off my left hand if I didn't ask so," Aislin looked up at the light buld he had been staring at earlier, almost curious as to why, "Why do you make so much noise every morning? It seems to really bother the other people. Are you hoping they'd give up?"

"Don't look at me. You'll have to ask Vend. It's he who makes a rucuss; never was a morning person." Atlas sighed, scratching the back of his head. "I think he does it to bother Fathom. They're break up was rather bitter." He chuckled slightly, seeming to find some other hidden memory humorous. "And they were such a cute pair for a while there." Well...an interesting bit of information there; it would seem that - unless he was lying- Fathom was actually...dating one of these Clockwise boys prior? Odd, but not unlikely. After all...Fathom was a bit...whore-ish. Wasn't surprising at all that she'd sleep around.
Atlas sighed, shaking his head slightly. "You wouldn't understand. My brothers and I are all we have; we're not even fully related. Our father has a nasty taste for pretty girls, hence why we're even in existance. He left us to ourselves in our previous home. Since then, we've all gotten pretty close. I've given up everything I have to keep my brothers safe..." He paused again now, seeming lost once more,"...I even gave up my fiance."

Aislin could feel, any person would. It was just exetremely hard for her to process that emotion to her body and express it. She felt sympothy right now, looking at Atlas, but nothing expressed it. Out of curiousity, she asked him, "Atlas... I want to know how you're able to live with this family of yours.. I'm curious, though you can't really tell because I'm not expressionative," Aislin shrugged. " But I AM curious about why you care about this.. I just don't understand. All I have are my mother, my great grandmother and my father's always off somewhere. My mother's a queen so she's busy a lot of the time and she doesn't spend much time with me, you see." She said, trying to explain calmly why she doesn't understand. "The servants were like sisters to me and Jamie and were friends but I still don't get it..."

"Well, you aren't much of one for emotional comprehension, am I right?" He questioned, looking to her again. "You don't seem the type, and apparently don't understand. I can't break it down any simpler than I already have for you; They're all I've got, I'd do anything for them. If that means killing my brother, and later leads to the murder of my fiance, then so be it. You must not be able to understand because..." He paused, as if trying to read her. "Let me guess, never get much time with your family?"

Aislin sighed, nodding. "Had I not just explined that to you?" she asked as if boredly but remained still. "So you killed your fiance, and your brother, huh? It's not all that surprising to me, Atlas. That happens all the time in my large family. Sorry I'm not very expressionate. I do feel sorry for you and am confused on why you still feel so happy all the time. Do you feel regret at all?"

"No. See, that's what you don't understand. I did it not of fear, or spite, or even anger. I did it for the greater good of the entire family. And that's what makes it okay. As long as we as a group are fine, then everything's alright."

Aislin's eyes showed some curiousity finally - told you she was slow in that catergory - and walked right up to him, looking up into his eyes. Taking a step back, she looked him up and down, walking around. "You're no knight.. no servant... not even royalty..." She said, judging by his stance. "Yet.. yet you do noble things for the ones you love..."

"Of course. That's what being a real family's all about." His reply was simple, words spoken with a truthful flourish. Afterall, this was Atlas; noble in his own way, shape and form.

Aislin stood infront of him again, looking at his eyes. "Hey, Atlas... were you born that way?" she asked, tilting her head to one side and seeming to examine them. "They're awesome.."
