"Don't try to full me you bitch! You fucking died on me!" Brendan said, suddnely a slight shimmer in his eyes. Those dry eyes began to turn... wet. Tears actually formed at the corners of his eyes as he kept yelling 'you died!' and hitting his fist on the roof.

Nora pulled away, obviously frightened. "Brendan...stop it...please...stop. Y-....you're scaring me...." And it was true. Nora was terrified, and her own eyes were brimming with tears, though obviously for a diffrent reason.

"Let me take him off your hands." A man said, appearing beside Brendan. He picked up Brendan by the shoulders, shaking him slightly. "Brendan! It's your father! Stop this idiocy!" He said, a flash of lightning between the two foreheads.
Brendan's eyes dried instantly, and he returned to normal. Except, he seemed more tired. "Hi dad..." He muttered, getting up. Hunding his shoulders, he kept his back turned to Nora, trying to walk away again.
Before Nora could try to tackle Brendan again, the Sandman looked to her. "Let him sleep. He'll be fine."

Nora was shaking badly, but she nodded her head gently. She bit down on her lip, looking at Brendan, still partially teary eyed.

"I'm sorry I scared you.." Brendan said, completely back to normal, at the same time receiving a pat on the shoulder from the Sandman.
His father looked to Nora, letting Brendan walk away to a very strange door that seemed to lead to nowhere. The door opened, and let Brendan in. Beyond the double oak door was a brown and blue room, very messy. Brendan closed the doors behind him.
"Now, if you please, let me tell you who Ginger was." The sandman said very calmly, looking at Nora. "Ginger was my son's lastgirlfriend, and on the wedding night, something happened. He blanked out and awoke with her cowering form him as she was dying. My son had been wounded, and was dying himself. I only let him live, Ginger was already dead." The sandman said with the most seemly, but sickening calm voice. "She looked a lot like you, but with lighter hair."

Nora gulped slightly, her gaze falling downward. It was clear that the tone of voice her spoke in made her even more so shaky, and actually made her stomach churn. "So...that's why he got mad at me..."

"Quite exactly, little Nora," The sandman said, nodding his head. His bangs hung infront of his eyes so he gently brushed them away. He wore a sweatshirt, but no shirt. He wore on his head a bright red helmet that had a white brim. Like Brendan, his eyes were glaring, and always will be. "I suggest you leave him alone for... oh, let's just say the rest of your life." The Sandman smirked, a ball of light glowing in his left hand. "And if you think that's a long time, trust me, it won't be." He said as a sort of ball of sand began spinning at high speeds in his hands. This may seem silly, but if you actually think about it... Sand revolving at high speeds... reminds me of an electric sander.

Nora looked up, a sudden spark of defiance in her eyes. "And why should I? I don't have to listen to you. You're not my father."

"No, but I can easily gain control of your father, dear one." Sandman said, glaring at her. He stood to his full hight, towering over her and engulfing her in a long shadow.

Nora gulped lightly, seeming to withdraw slightly before lashing out again. "I doubt it. My dad would never listen to you, or be stupid enough to fall under your control."

"Would you like to test that theory? Your father is already under the control of my son, Brendan half the time." The sandman sneered, laughing to himself. "Don't get in a man's way, girl."

Nora glared up at him. "That's not true! Besides, even if he was he'd never hurt me!"

The sandman laughed. "Alright. I won't hurt you this time. You seem to be staying away from Brendan anyway." He said, smiling.

No longer shaking in the least bit, Nora stood up, dusting herself off quickly. "Like you could hurt me," She snapped, glaring at him. "My grandpa wouldn't let you. And who says that I'll stay away from Brendan for long? He's the one who follows me around. And I'm not going to lose one of my two friends just because you don't like me."

Sandman snickered, raising a fist into the air as if to punch her down. HE brought the fist down, stopping it right befor eher nose, when his foot suddenly was brought up, kicking her right in chin.

A frightened and painful yelp escaped Nora as she fell back, the blow to her chin leaving her open mouthed and mommentarily stunned at the fact that she had actually been hit.

Sandman laughed, walking away. A mist surrounded him as he slowly disappeared. The door that Brendan had walked through opened a crack, the mist wandering away from it instead of inside it.

Nora whimpered in pain, beginning to shake slightly. It wasn't really her jaw that hurt; no she couldn't feel that at all. Nor was it her back that had slammed against the paved roof. It was more her pride that was smarting.

"Nora.... Are you alright?" A voice asked, soft, young, male. A pair of blue eyes looked down at her surrounded by locks of blond hair.

With a tiny whimper, Nora nodded her head, eyes squeezed shut tightly. She sniffed, almost seeming ready to cry, but didn't. Her tails simply wrapped around her leg as she whimpered again, not speaking.
