Stepping out of the shadows and becoming visable, Rosh waited for Desmond to arrive. The two had arranged a meeting, so that Rosh could gain magical power. It wasn't exactly a lust for power, he only wanted enough to protect himself from the dangers of the world-Which could be anything, depending on who you tick off.

A tall, muscular man came in with fine, swooping brown hair ad dark green eyes. "Alright," his voice was smooth, cool, "You want to learn defensive magic, right?" Desmond asked and stood tall with his large tail swishing to and fro. "Where shall I start? A basic bubble spell? Or an easy shield spell?" Desmond was mainly talking to himself now, circling around Rosh. "Well, you hold a lot of ability. You're Kale's kid, right?"

"Yeah." He replied, adopting the smooth, cool tone of Desmond. It wasn't exact, but close. He thought of what the spells might do immediently after he mentioned them. "A sheild sounds like a good start."

"In your case, little man, I'd start with a bubble, alright?" Desmond smiled, rubbing the back of his head. "Cause you'll need it sooner and if I were to teach you a shield, I'd have to teach you sword and how to fight with them." Desmond shook his head, laughing.

Rosh actually was pretty good with a normal sword, but didn't care to mention it. "Yeah, sounds good. We'll start with the bubble then." Meanwhile, he took the opportunity to toss a handmade wooden kunai at the far wall.

Desmond moved quickly, his arm raising up and his palm wide open at the wall. The kunai bounced off and fell to the floor, as if a little girl had thrown it. "See how effective it is?" he asked, then let his hand drop. "You're not goingt o do the same as I just did, but put your hands up, as if blocking. You want your palms open and your fingers wide."

Rosh put his palms out, open, and seperated his fingers. He closed his eyes, focusing. Because he was inexperienced, he did have to give it much of his focus, unlike it at least seemed Desmond had.

"Now wait there buddy," Desmond laughed. "You dun' have to close your eyes. Magic happens when you least expect it, at your level. You've got to learn to control it but not forcing it out, ok?" Desmond grinned. Then he became serious, standing infront of Rosh, glaring at him. "Do exactly as I told you, got it?" Wanting to test Rosh's reflexes, Robin through a punch, though his intensions were to miss.

"Right." Rosh moved his arm and hand for the punch as it began to pass six inches in front and beside his ear. He didn't force it out this time, aiming to at least catch it if the spell didn't work.

Desmond was good. He merely touched Rosh's nose, and smiled. "Not this time, kid, sorry. You'll get it. Now, what I want you to do is get scared." Desmond told him. "That's what magic is - when you get a chemical reaction to your aura, it reacts in certain ways depending upon the brain waves." He told him. "When you're scared, defense. When angry, offense. Nuetrall's the hardest, though."

Rosh began thinking of somthing scary. His eyes turned a slight color of yellow. His colors worked different than Kale's, yellow was scared, then getting more yellow as he thought more.

Desmond looked at Rosh curiously, his hand on his chin, resting there as if thining and studying. "Good, good..." he muttered, watching the body language of Rosh. "Now the monster's about to attack, what do you do?"

Rosh thrust his arms forward, holding his fingers wide and his palms open. The magic began working, an invisible bubble forming.
