The sound of fingers tapping irritably against wood could be heard. Eyes of brookstone grey peered out from behind shaggy locks, holding to them a look of boredom. The days had been getting duller and duller; two years spent in a castle no matter how modern was driving her to the edge of insanity. And things hadn't gotten better with the return of her voice; no not at all. Now Kale had to becareful not to snap at people.
How odd it would seem that after all this time she'd now just finally snapped - afterall she'd spent two years perfectly content. And, yet again, it seemed this was the way all her relationships had gone. Three years of happiness, another three of iffy-ness, three more of near total isolation and that was it. The thought caused her to shudder - having to throw it aside to keep from causign herself any sort of sadness. No no, no more sadness. It was always smiles from now on, she had promised herself.
Kale sat up straighter now, sighing in an almost litehearted manner. There was the aggrivation, and just as suddenly as it appeared it had wafted away again. Joyous. This was the way most of her days went. It was just another average day in the current life of Kale A. Maelstrom.

From the few shadows in the room came a voice, "You think you're bored? I'm the one that's been watching things happen without anything to do for two years, mum.." Roshaun's voice, in fact. He had always been in the castle, he just hadn't had time alone with her yet. He wasn't sure if this Robin guy was good or not, even after two years. In those two years, sanity went in one end of his brain and out the other..

Kale paused, then sighed deeply. She knew the voice well enough, though it'd been a long time since she'd heard it. "I know, sweetie. I know," she mumbled softly, beginning to slouch in her chair. "You could have done something, hunny. You don't have to hide in the dark like an outcast." She turned her head, eyes looking to where his voice had come from. "You should know by now that no one's going to hurt you here. They are all your siblings, if only in half the blood."

Rosh stepped out from the shadows, and then deactivated one of his many vampiric powers, Obsfucate(Invisibility) and became fully visable. "My father died ten years ago. For a while, I thought I was next. That's why I've been hiding."

Kale tapped her fingers against the table again, closing her eyes with a sigh."You should have known I wouldn't let that happen, Rosh," she said in reply, rubbing her forehead gently. "You didn't need to hide. You know I love you, and that Robin and I will take care of you."

Rosh smiled for once in ten years. "I suppose I owe it to you to believe you now." He said. (Could'nt think of much)

"Yes, you really do," She replied, sending the boy a side-long glance. She smiled at her son, holding out her arms to him. "Come here you little riff-raff. Give your mother a hug."

Rosh complied, coming closer and hugging her. "Are there any other kids still around this castle?" He asked.

Kale nodded slowly as she hugged him tightly. "Yes yes. There's still plenty of the kids here." She winced once this was said, knowing it was untrue. There were few children still here, but at least they were here. At least she knew where some were.

"I've been gaining more and more powers recently..From several different vampire clans. Right now, I can see some in the old house..Only seven children are inside it though..That's as far as I can see." Rosh said. He hated to brag, but it was true he might come out slightly more powerful than she was.

Kale paused, looking to him with sad eyes. "Let's....let's not talk about that. Alright, hun?" She questioned, ruffling his hair before stepping away.

"As you wish, your highness." He replied. "You've grown a lot in maturity sience I last talked to you." He added.

((May I intrude? ^^))
"Kale, my lovely queen!" Robin rushed in, grinning widely. "Oh! How wonderful news I have to cheer you up, my love!!" Robin rushed to her, hugged her and knelt down infront of her, looking up at her and smiling. "Now that my right hand knight and advisor are here, we can take a vacation!" He stood up, an arm around her shoulders. HE was about to say something else when he noticed Rosh. He hadn't before for he had been so happy and now he was utterly confused, and a little defensive.
He coughed, his voice deepening, "Hello, welcome stranger. You know your queen well, I see?" he asked, looking side long at Kale for a moment curiously.

"Yeah, I suppose you could say that, I'm an in-law of yours." Rosh replied. "I got 90% of my genes from her." He said, pointing to his brown hair and grey eyes. "Ten precent from a cold blooded man. Litteraly. He dies when it dips to 20 degrees, but that doesn't happen here, so I'm alive."

Kale blinked a few times, having to recollect her thoughts and her composure due to her surprise at Robin's rushing in. Rubbing her forehead gently, she looked between Robin and Rosh, sighing at Rosh's reply. "Robin, hun. Calm down. This is my son, Rosh. Rosh, this is your step-father, is you...didn't already know." She scratched behind a ragged ear gently with a single finger, head tipping to one side.
"Now...what was that you were saying before? A vacation?" Suddenly, her eyes lit up and she whirled on her heels to face Robin - as if the actual fact of what the statement meant had just settled in. "Really?!" In that momment, she seemed to take on the look of a small child in a candy store, and Robin was the man behind the counter about to give her the sugary sweets.

Robin suspciously looked Rosh up and down then gave him the warmest smile. "You're not an in-law! Consider yourself my own flesh and blood if you please!" Robin reached out to Rosh and pulled him into a tight warm hug. "I do this to all of KAle's kids. You're welcome anytime as long as you don't screw up the status between us, ok?" Robin grinned, then looked to KAle. "Yes! Yes my love we get to vacation meaning a full week with just you and me, babe!" He's moved from Rosh to Kale in two steps, his wings hugging KAle as well.

"Yes," mumbled quietly, a large grin sliding across her face. Tugging on Robin's wing, she nuzzled her nose against it like a cute little animal would do, before hugging him tightly. Apparently, she had to try very hard to hault her spew of unorthodoxed vacation spots from sputtering out of her mother as she looked up at him. "Well, in that case, where do you want to go?"

"Anywhere you want to go!" Robin grinned. "Just pick any place at all. Even in another wrealm or planet or galaxy! I'll fly you there myself!" Robin kissed her and then kissed her forehead.

Kale took a deep breath, seeming to want to say some grand place when suddenly she haulted - her eyes flooding with tears. "I WANT TO GO HOME!" She shrieked at the top of her lungs, slamming her eyes closed tightly. Apparently, the thought had been something hitting jer unexpectedly, for a momment afterwards she made the motion to cover her mouth - which was stopped only by the fact she was crying so hard.

Rosh looked on at the small, but still largely dramatic scene. He had nothing to say, exept, in a whisper "I was hoping I could go to the planet dad used to mention. But, it's only them.." The whisper would likely not be heard over the crying, exept by hawk-like ears.
