Brendan shrugged. "I'm not most people." He said, yawning.

"Yeah, I suppose not," She replied, gaze wandering away from him. It seemed as if she were on edge, as if waiting for something bad to happen. Waiting for some odd noise to cause her to scream, or something to just go terribly wrong. And finding nothing wrong normally made her jumpy, as she was used to things randomly exploding or nearly falling on her. When hanging around Misery, you become used to being just plain jumpy.

Nora flinched slightly, glancing back at him. "I'm sorry...I can't help it. When you get used to things always being so...hectic, silence and stillness makes you really jumpy."

"In other words you spend most of your time with Misery," Brendan chuckled. "It's alright," He said, gently kissed her forehead, and pet her hair. "I can see why, so don't bother explaining." He half smiled.
A bullet of red light caught the blancket space between them from the ceiling. Brendan muttered something and pulled his hand away. He was muttering something about his father's system and how dumbassed it was or soemthing.

Nora's face reddened more so as he kissed her forehead, her gaze falling off to foot of the bed. And when the bullet of red light hit, she gave a slight yelp of fear before settling back down. "A....system?"

Nora's laughed turned slightly timid. "Yeah, I'm stubborn as a mule when it comes to people trying to scare me. I mean, I did grow up in a house full of ghosts and ghouls and things that scream bloody murder in the middle of the night."

"No. I'm not. Everytime you see sand move, I'm there." Brendan grinned.
