((First Role play on this board since I left. *crowd aplause*))
Jill was sitting on the roof, her orange eyes fiery. Something deep within her raged fury beyond her years. Not wise was she, which was Josie's job. Jill didn't like drama. She didn't like horror. She didn't even like science fiction. Killing. The past few years of marriage to this... bounty hunter... and she'd only made two killings. Barely a thirst quencher. Jill stood on the edge of the roof and opened her mouth. Out came not her voice but the voice of a roaring monster. A creature that did not exist. She held the note of yelling loud and long, and a few windows cracked or broke from the vibrations. Birds from miles around flew off into the distance, in fear while the land creatures scattered. Jill's fangs grew, as did her claws. The roar sent a shiver up even Des' spine, and Des snapped her head up, startled. Robin and Despereaux, being of bird blood, jumped, and immediately, Miusa, being a baby, started crying. The boogeyman's and Des' baby started crying. That was hard to do. Jill took deep breaths, wiping spit from her mouth and her tail swishing from side to side angrily. Flames danced in her eyes.

The sound seemed to startle more than a few, as tiny head began to poke out from beneath bushes, or in tree trunk holes. Large ears perked, twitched, and fell back as the creatures dissapeared within their caches once more.
The roar had won the attention of Skylar, who had immediatley fetched her father. Afterall, what else was there to do for a child scared of most everything and anything that crossed her path.
Footsteps faultered on stairs, as the slouched figure carried itself up towards the roof.Sleep-filled grumbles fluttered out between barley moving lips, and half closed eyes watched as the blurry hall went by. Why? Why'd they have to wake him up? What was so terrifying that Skylar couldn't have gotten her mother for? Dahl grumbled his muttered mish-mash of nonsense, as Skylar scuttled along a few feet behind him. Her own attentive gaze was cast foreward, and slightly upwards as well. A sense of dread seized her, and yet she pressed on. Something wasn't right; something was out of place and made the air to feel hostile. Someone needed to fix it. And her father of all people could...couldn't he?

Jill was breathing hard, through her nose. Her whole body was shaking as she leaned back and roared at the sky, instead of the woods. This howl was more intense, but only vibrated the windows below her. The clouds seemed to move out of her howl's way as it made it's way up towards the heaven. "I HATE YOU!!" Jill was yelling, her body shaking. Shadows that haunted her before now backed off, lingering at her feet.

"What in hell's name is going on here?!" Dahl narrowed his eyes, mostly to clear his blurred vision. His sandy hair was a mess, and he seemed too tired to really do much too it.
Skylar poked her head out from around his legs, blinking curiously. Fear was clear in her eyes, and she chomped down on her lower lip as a shiver ran up her spine.

Jill stopped, looking at him over her shoulder. The shadows began to rise but she glared down at them, and the slunk away. Jill did not return her gaze to Dahl. "It doesn't concern you... Don't get involved..." Jill was talking to Skylar more than to Dahl.

Skylar gave a slight whimper, stepping back. It seemed she had much better intuition than Dahl, who was confused by Jill's words. "What do you mean it doesn't concer me? What the hell are you doing?"

Jill looked at Skylar, and caught her breath. She turned away. "I'm following her footsteps," Jill whispered, looking down at her feet. Her shoulders were tensed up, her fists clenched. Everything about her was tense, making her seem bigger than normal. A sign to stay away. Jill growled.

Dahl, apparently wanting an answer to his question, strode foreward. "Jill, c'mon," he muttered, seeming to calm down a bit now. "What's wrong? What's going on? You can tell me."

"I said stay back!!" Jill lashed out, scratching at Dahl's chest. "I'm worse, Dahl! Worse!" Jill was yelling at him, covering her face with her hands and shrinking away. "Even my fears are fearing me! I'm following her footsteps!!" Jill looked up at Dahl, glaring intensely. "And it's all because of you... You held me back..." She was whispering angrily. Her eyes didn't reflect the sun's fire, but penetrated their own fire. Her orange eyes burned with hatred.

Dahl winced and stumbled back, a hand instictivley moving to the seering area of pain on his chest. Glancing down at the marks left by Jill's claws, he then turned his gaze to her. "How...how is it my fault? What did I...what did I do? You aren't making any sense..."

"You held me back! You wouldn't let me kill!" Jill yelled at him, trying to hold herself back. "Just... just get away from me..." Jill took a step back and stopped, seeming to think painfully. She took to quick steps foreward and lashed out at Dahl again, snarling. "You didn't let me get it out! All this anger! All this hatred! All this built up emotions is because of.. YOU!! I HATE YOU!!!" Jill roared once more, right at him.

Dahl stumbled back, hitting the roof with a thud. "What...I never...I didn't mean too..."
Skylar jumped back, out of the way of him as he fell. Her hands were pressed against her mouth, eyes wide and terrified. She felt like crying out, but resisted it.

Jill stood over him, glaring down. "I would have done anything for you... You and your damn love." Jill had this wild look in her eyes as she licked her fangs. "You told me not to kill. They all did... They'll all PAY!!" Jill kicked Dahl's side with a bare clawed foot.

Dahl curled into a ball, wincing slightly. The puncture wounds in his side, added to the pain of his chest, was not...horrible, no. He'd had worse done to him. But still... "Jill...stop it. What's this going to solve?"

"If something is not going to solve anything," Jill reached down, picking him up by the collar and making him eye-to eye with her. "Then it won't do any HARM!" At the word harm Jill through his head down to make contact with her knee which rose to meet his face.

Skylar shrieked at the sight of blood as Dahl collapsed. The girl backed away a few steps, and Dahl tried to push himself up. Blood was gushing from his nose and a cut above his eye brow. "Jill...stop..." he coughed, wiping away blood. "You're...you're..scaring Skylar..."

"Skylar... yes.. That'd hurt, wouldn't it?" Jill asked, grinning as she advanced upon Skylar. Her toungue running over her white large fangs. "Would that hurt you, Dahl? Would it hurt even more if I were to kill both of you?"
Two gentle arms lifted Skylar up, holding her close. Des stood tall, glaring at Jill. "You will not lay a finger on this child!"

Skylar was staring at Jill, wide eyed and horrified. Pressing herself against Des, the girl held back a sob. "Mom...please...please stop..."
Dahl coughed, pushing himself onto his feet. "Jill....you have to stop this...this is...is..."

"Just what I did," Des finished Dahl's sentence. She kept her gaze at Jill, who shrunk slightly. Jill hissed at her mother. "You know you don't really want to do this..." Des was saying, not angry. Not angry. Not happy, either. Sad. "You know that deep in your heart, this is not right... But you can't feel it. Your heart's become numb, too cold for it to work properly."
Jill's eyes softened, and she quivered her bottom jaw. "I...I..."

Skylar pulled her head away from it's place, buried against Des' chest. Looking over at Jill, the girl bit at her lip. "Mom...please stop...this is ludacris!"
Dahl turned his gaze to Skylar, then to Jill. Struggling to remain on his feet, he stepped foreward. "She's right, Jill. You have to stop."
